§ 9.39.020. Oxygenated fuels.

    From October 1, 1991 through March 31, 1992, no person shall supply or sell any gasoline motor fuel intended as a final product for fueling of motor vehicles within the city, or sold at retail, or sold to a private or government fleet for consumption, or introduced into a motor vehicle in the city, by any person unless the total fuel sold by any person has a minimum average content of 2.0 percent oxygen by weight averaged over the total volume of each grade of gasoline sold by the person. From October 1, 1992 through March 31 in all years thereafter, the minimum average content shall be 2.7 percent by weight.

    B.

    No gasoline motor fuel blended with methanol and intended as a final product for fueling of motor vehicles shall be sold at retail within the city. Methanol indigenous to other oxygenates will be allowed.
