§ 20.10.390. Neighborhood commercial uses (SRR District).

  • A.

    No portion of any existing single-story or multistory building or structure which was rehabilitated for residential purposes, during the period from November 17, 1986 to November 14, 1995 may be used for neighborhood commercial uses pursuant to this section. For purposes of this subsection, a building or structure shall be considered to have been rehabilitated if any portion of such building or structure was restored or reconstructed to meet all applicable city building codes.

    B.

    Within a multistory building or structure complying with this section, a special permit application for neighborhood commercial uses (see Appendix A - Table of Permissible Uses) may be made for the ground floor level only. The remaining floors shall be limited to the residential uses permitted in the SRR district.

    C.

    Pursuant to this section, the property owner shall pay relocation costs for any tenant displaced because of a conversion from residential to neighborhood commercial uses, as provided in the city's tenant assistance policy.
