NFPA 70 National Electrical Code, 2014 Edition, Section 210.70 Lighting Outlets Required, (A) Dwelling Units, (3) Storage or Equipment Spaces, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence at the end of the paragraph:
210.70 Lighting Outlets Required (A) Dwelling Units (3) Storage or Equipment Spaces. Add: An attic shall be considered storage area if it has either a decked area or permanent access ladder.
