§ 13.30.020. Permit required.

  • A person or organization conducting a film-making event involving the proposed use of a city right-of-way or city facility shall apply for a permit for such use from the commissioner in accordance with this chapter. The traffic engineer is authorized to issue a permit for a period not to exceed forty-eight consecutive hours to any person or organization in compliance with all requirements enumerated herein that has submitted an application. The traffic engineer may extend a film-making event permit for a period up to an additional forty-eight consecutive hours up on receipt of an application for extension of a film-making event permit. Any person requesting the use or closure of a right-of-way or a city facility for more than the forty-eight hours allowed by a film-making event permit or the extension thereof, or the use of a city facility when the city manager determines that the use would interfere with the conduct of work performed by the city or would inappropriately interfere with the public's use of city facilities available for such uses shall submit the request in accordance with the provisions in Chapter 15.08 of this Code, or obtain a lease or licensing agreement for the use of a city facility, as applicable.
