§ 13.24.150. Fires and grills.

  • A.

    No person may light, build or maintain a fire on or in a city park except in a device provided or designated for such purpose.

    B.

    Portable barbecue grills of metal construction may be brought into city parks by persons for use in picnic areas and shall be attended at all times by a person eighteen years of age or older. At no time may barbecue grills be placed upon pathways, sport courts, parking lots and the like or otherwise impede the use of such areas for their intended purpose. Barbecue grills must have a minimum twelve-inch clearance from the ground or surface it is placed on.

    C.

    Charcoal must be fully extinguished and removed from the city park by the user.
