§ 12.30.010. Definitions.

  • A.

    "Permittee" means the governmental entity, utility company, contractor, person or business entity that has received a temporary traffic control permit pursuant to this chapter.

    B.

    "Person" means associations, clubs, societies, firms, contractors, governmental agencies, traffic barrier supply companies, partnerships, corporations, other business entities as well as individuals or groups of individuals.

    C.

    "Temporary traffic control plan" means a plan describing temporary traffic control measures to be used for facilitating pedestrian and vehicular users through a work zone or other activity in a public right-of-way.

    D.

    "Traffic engineer" shall have the same meaning as found in Section 12.04.190 and shall also include, for purposes of this chapter, those people designated by the traffic engineer.

    E.

    "Work" means any activity that requires placement of barriers in the public right-of-way and/or any construction activities within the public right-of-way.
